Flatbed Towing in Durham & Raleigh, NC
Your vehicle rides on the deck with all four wheels off the road. Nothing drags, nothing spins, nothing scrapes.
Flatbed Towing
How we handle it
Our flatbed is a 22-ft Jerr-Dan steel rollback with an 8,000-lb Ramsey winch and an 8,000-lb wheel lift, on a 2023 International MV607 (25,500-lb GVWR). The deck tilts to the ground, the winch pulls the vehicle up, and we strap it down at all four corners before we move.
A flatbed tow truck is the safe choice for all-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive vehicles, electric and hybrid vehicles, low-clearance cars, and anything with drivetrain or suspension damage that should not roll on its own wheels.
When to call for it
- AWD, 4WD, electric and hybrid vehicles
- Low-clearance and lowered cars
- Vehicles that won't start, shift or roll
- Newer vehicles you want moved without wear

Questions about flatbed towing
Why is flatbed towing better than a wheel-lift tow?+
On a flatbed all four wheels are off the ground for the whole trip, so the transmission, drivetrain and bumpers are never loaded. Wheel-lift towing leaves two wheels rolling on the road.
Does an electric vehicle need a flatbed?+
Most manufacturers call for flatbed transport for electric and many hybrid vehicles, because rolling the drive wheels can damage the motors. Check your owner's manual, and tell us the make and model when you call.
How long is your flatbed?+
The deck is 22 feet, which fits full-size crew-cab pickups and dually trucks with room to strap down properly.
